OK everyone, this is my last entry. It's been a good week. I have
enjoyed writing and I have enjoyed Moscow.
OK. First things first. This morning we went to Red Square. We saw
St. Basil's Cathederal. It was beautiful. I am not too big on the
aesthetic part of life, raving over arts like the Mona Lisa and such.
In some of the rooms, the walls were painted with flowers and every
flower was different. It was very nice.
Next we went in to the Mausoleum to see the late great Lenin. He was
sitting in a glass case all petrified and preserved. He looked like a
wax figure. He really doesn't look that real. What can I say, it was a
real Russian treat. Wasn't that lady Evita from Argentina preserved
too? I don't know. I was watching this documentary on her a while ago.
I think she was preserved and buried also.
This is my question fo the day:
Q. Why do all golfers wear hats.
A. I don't know, probably for advertisement.
This is my advice for the day:
Remember someone is always looking, and someone is always listening.
This is my golden rule because I tend to do crazy things like wild dances
or exaggerated impersonations when I think no one is looking, but someone
really is, and I end up feeling kind of silly.
Here are some of my favorites:
My favorite Shakesperian play is McBeth. I have read Hamlet and Romeo
and Juliet, but I really don't like those. I haven't read the other
tragedies yet like King Lear or Orthello nor have I read any of the
Histories.
My favorite books are the Shawshank Redemption, The Hobbit and the Lord
of the Rings trilogy by J.R.R. Toilken.
My favorite movie is Shawshank Redemption.
OK everyone. Unfortunately I have to go. It is 6pm and I am supposed to
be downstairs to hitch a ride (Green Day) to the theater. We are going
to see The Sleeping Beauty Ballet.
Good morning everyone today is Sunday November 2 and it is 9am. in
Russia. I am leaving today at 1:10pm. I am flying to Chicago to compete
in another tournament. I have been over-seas for 33 days (almost 5 weeks).
I have seen a lot in Russia. The place is replete with history that is
very interesting. The art here is wonderful also, and the people are
very talented. It is great that they are finally being given the chance
to live a more free life, with the fall of Communism.
OK, that's enough of that.
Last night we went to see the ballet, like I told you earlier. The first
ten minutes were ok, but after that they kept doing the same dances over
and over. OK, maybe it wasn't the same dances but it sure did seem like
it. The ballet lasted almost three hours. I secretly wished that the
sleeping beauty would fall back into her sleep. The theater was
beautiful, I must say. I think it was built in 1856, but don't take my
word for it.
OK. This is my last story for the week. Before Serena left on Friday
for Chicago she made me promise that if I saw Gustavo Kuerten that I
would ask him if he wanted to play mixed doubles with her at the
Australian Open. I said; "Sure, OK." because I was convinced that I
would not see him. As it turns out I did see him. Any other time I
would not have seen so much as a trace of him. Anyway, he and his coach
came sauntering into the lunch room yesterday, to my dismay. I really
didn't want to say anything to him, I didn't know the guy, Serena does.
Anyway, to cut this boring story short, I made myself go over to his
table and ask him about mixed doubles. It wasn't that hard. He is a
real nice guy, pleasant. His coach is funny too. They are both great.
OK everyone this is the end of the line. It's been real fun. Last of
all I want to say hello today to everyone named Antony, and to all Hole
fans (Courtney Love's Band). Goodbye everyone! Until next time!!
